ecobc: Pledging 1% of Profits

Toronto startup, ecobc, partners with New Acre Project to rebuild nature

“Supporting sustainable and livable communities with clean air, water and biodiversity is important to our clients, but it is also what keeps our employees engaged. So, we are proud to support environmental restoration projects that are powered by farmers and ranchers across Canada,”

ecobc, a socially responsible Canadian-owned residential and commercial window cleaning business has committed to donate one percent of annual profits to New Acre Project.

“Ecobc has an environmentally conscious approach with the services we provide, and we are committed to donating one percent of profits to New Acre Project because we believe in the benefits that it has for communities,” said Christian Coldea, President of ecobc.

As Canada’s population grows, much of our wetlands, woodlands and grasslands are being lost. Our remaining natural spaces are at risk from land use and climate change pressures. This affects us all: the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the food we eat. Now, more than ever, we need to focus on this critical issue.

“Supporting sustainable and livable communities with clean air, water and biodiversity is important to our clients, but it is also what keeps our employees engaged. So, we are proud to support environmental restoration projects that are powered by farmers and ranchers across Canada,” Coldea said.

By supporting New Acre Project, ecobc will be help to support farmers and ranchers across Canada who are delivering on-the-ground solutions for Canada’s environment on over 27,000 acres of wetlands, trees, and grasslands.

Each New Acre delivers a bundle of ecosystem services, like cleaner air, cleaner water and more biodiversity, to benefit all Canadians. An ALUS Canada initiative, New Acre Project helps sustain agriculture, wildlife and natural spaces across the country.

“We are pleased to have ecobc’s support and to work with a small business that demonstrates that everyone has a role to play in building a prosperous, green future,” said Katherine Balpataky, Director of Corporate Partnerships with New Acre Project.

“When GTA condo boards choose ecobc, they will know that a portion of the profits will support wetland restoration, afforestation and the creation of grasslands that are good for the planet.”
